Haye: 'Robot Klitschko will malfunction'

Klitschko (left) shows Haye (right) the number 50, after claiming the Briton will be the 50th knockout victim of his career.

WBA world heavyweight champion David Haye has branded his IBF, WBO and IBO counterpart Wladimir Klitschko a "robot" and said the Ukrainian will "malfunction" in their unification bout in Hamburg on Saturday.

Haye, 30, was talking at the final press conference ahead of the duo's highly-anticipated face-off, with tensions clearly running high between the two fighters.

"It's going to be fun to watch this big robot start malfunctioning," the London native told reporters.

The pair were due to get in the ring in 2009, before Haye was forced to withdraw with a back injury, and the Englishman said he is happy the fight did not take place two years ago because he is now in much better shape.

"I'm healthy, my speed is ridiculous, punch power is there, and I'm just in a really good place," he said.

"I'm happy the fight's happening now and didn't happen a couple of years ago because I am so much more of a better fighter now."

Klitschko acknowledged his opponent was in fine physical condition, but the 1996 Olympic gold medal winner said Haye will be the 50th knockout victim of his professional career and that the experience will make him "a better person."
"I will knock your butt out back into reality, which is good for your future life," said Klitschko.

"You're going to become a better person, a better man, with better behavior and you'll be on time."

The Semey-born boxer was referring to the fact that Haye was 30 minutes late for the press conference, and Klitschko went on to say: "He was late for half an hour today, we've all been waiting for you princess."

The tension rose further when Wladimir's brother Vitali, the WBC heavyweight champion, stood up and asked Haye whether he would be attending the post-fight press conference.

"Please, promise, in front of many journalists, that you're coming to the press conference after the fight?"

Haye responded: "I'm coming for you [Vitali] after the fight, make sure you're there."

Vitali famously faced a British fighter in 2003, when he lost to Lennox Lewis by technical knockout after the end of the sixth round.

Former world amateur championships silver medallist Haye has previously said he will retire before turning 31 in October, but "The Hayemaker" has also expressed a desire to defeat both Klitschko brothers before hanging up his gloves.

British cruiserweight Carl Thompson defeated Haye in their fight in 2004, his only career loss in 26 professional clashes.

Klitschko will be looking to avoid a fourth defeat of his pro career, having won 55 of his 58 bouts.

The fight will take place at the Imtech Arena, home of Bundesliga football club Hamburg, on Saturday.

Miley Cyrus Strips Down in So Undercover

So Undercover SceneMiley Cyrus in So Undercover

Miley Cyrus got in trouble for making like a stripper at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards, but the actress will have a valid excuse if anyone gives her gruff for showing a lot of skin in her next movie:

The script calls for it.

Stills from So Undercover - in which Miley stars as a young FBI agent tasked with infiltrating a sorority - have been released, and they depict the singer/actress in skimpy red pajamas. How will this outfit help her character protect a mobster's daughter?

We'll need to buy a ticket in October for So Undercover and find out.

Ameriie gets married

Ameriie, 30, married former Columbia Records executive Lenny Nicholson on Saturday.

R&B singer Ameriie only had "1 Thing" important to say this weekend -- I do.

The Grammy-nominated recording artist, 30, married former Columbia Records executive Lenny Nicholson on Saturday on Anguilla in the British West Indies.

"This is such an exciting time for me. This is my first marriage and I am over the moon," Ameriie told PEOPLE. "I look forward to a loving and enduring marriage. This day couldn't come any sooner for me. I am beyond thrilled. I will remember this day forever."

Though it may have been an island wedding, the bride didn't opt for a simple white sheath and bare feet, instead wowing the guests in a Monique Lhullier gown complete with a dramatic cathedral train, baby blue Yves Saint Laurent Tribute sandals and jewelry by Rafaello & Co.

Her hair was styled into an edgy up-do, decorated with strings of diamonds and pearls. The groom wore a Hugo Boss tuxedo.

With the bride's pastor, Reverend Phillip E. Knight, Sr. officiating at the ceremony, the couple held their wedding, reception and associated events at the luxury resort Viceroy Anguilla.

Chris Brown to Haters: Just Leave Me Alone!

Chris Brown has been under considerable fire this week, and really since he assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. People will not give the dude a break.

Given his frequent blowups - most recently a gay slur against some photographers he thought told the police about his illegally parked car - you can see why.

Chris did apologize, sort of, for that incident, but it's clear he's just as upset that he's being criticized for it as he is at himself for uttering it to start with.
Brizzle

In a string of Tweets last night, he wrote: "This will make things a whole lot easier. If you don't like/support me then don't listen to my music (sic).

"Latching on to my every word and criticizing makes you look thirsty. I can't even piss without somebody complaining. Imagine how I feel (sic).

"A person should not have to apologize every second for living life (sic)!"

Perhaps some are too quick to jump all over him, but at the same time, he brings a lot of this upon himself by calling people gay, throwing chairs through windows and the like. Work on the anger, Chris. Then people will chill.

Jennifer Aniston brings Justin Theroux 'Inside the Actors Studio'

During her interview, Jennifer Aniston said if she attempted a profession other than acting, it would be interior design.

Now, Jennifer Aniston is mixing business with pleasure by bringing new beau Justin Theroux to her interview with James Lipton for "Inside the Actors Studio."

Theroux, 39, "was sitting in the front row, and she made eye contact with him," second-year Actors Studio MFA student Christina Schudel told PEOPLE at Thursday's New York taping with Aniston, 42. The interview will air next month on Bravo.

"Whenever there would be a lull, she would just look at him and give him a wink and go back to what she was doing," Schudel says.

Aniston was also clearly a hit with the crowd -- which roared with laughter after Lipton asked what drew the actress to the 2006 movie "The Break-Up."

Aniston replied, "Well, you know it's something I have a lot of experience with."

"She was just so relaxed and so open," Schudel observed. "So lovable from beginning to end. Such a sweetheart."

Lipton, who chatted with the "Horrible Bosses" star for nearly three hours, says he was completely captivated by Aniston's warm personality.

"She's as quick and witty and charming as she is on screen," Lipton told PEOPLE immediately after the interview.

Mexico rallies to top U.S. and win high-scoring Gold Cup final

Andres Guardado, #18 of Mexico, celebrates his goal against the United States with Javier Hernandez, #14.

Los Angeles (CNN) -- In one of soccer's biggest showdowns, Mexico rallied from an early deficit with four straight goals to defeat the United States 4-2 and win the 2011 Gold Cup on Saturday.

The American team jumped out to an earlier lead when Michael Bradley, a center midfielder and the son of coach Bob Bradley, scored the first goal just nine minutes into the game. Landon Donovan, the leading goal-scorer in U.S. history, netted a second goal roughly 20 minutes later.

But Mexico answered back, with Pablo Barrera and then Andres Guardado scoring two goals within 10 minutes of each other to tie the score.

A few minutes into the second half, Barrera scored another goal to give Mexico its first lead of the game. Giovani dos Santos gave Mexico a 4-2 advantage with a score with about 13 minutes remaining, effectively cinching his team's victory.

Fox Soccer reported that 93,420 spectators watched the game at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, above its capacity of 92,542 according to the stadium's website.

Mexico's win gives in bragging rights in the rivalry, the third consecutive time both teams have met in the tournament's final.

As it is every year, the game was organized by the soccer confederation for North America, Central America and the Caribbean.

Besides boasting privileges, Mexico earns a ticket to the Confederations Cup in Brazil in 2013, a year before the World Cup.

Mexico and the United States had split the last two Gold Cups, with the Mexicans embarrassing the Americans with a 5-0 thrashing in 2009.

In 2007, the Americans took the contest, sending the team to the 2009 Confederations Cup where it finished second behind Brazil.

Until Saturday night, the United States had not lost to Mexico on American soil when at full strength in 12 matches dating back to the year 2000.

Still, the American players know that soccer draws many fans to Mexico's team, as was evident at this weekend's game. Hispanics are now the nation's second-largest group under the latest census.

"You come into your country and you know they are going to have more fans than you are," U.S. defender Jonathan Bornstein said in remarks on the confederation website, "but nonetheless, we're going to have enough fans out there supporting us. We're on our home turf, and so we need to be considered the home team even though we might not have all the fans."

Added U.S. goalkeeper Tim Howard about the rivalry: "It's been the same since I was a kid watching it. It's the same today. It's passion. There's a ton of respect, but yet again it borders on hatred."

"But it's passion. It's good. I think we have very healthy respect for them and whether they want to say it or not, they have healthy respect for us and they should," Howard said on the confederation website.

Mexico's team manager Jose Manuel de la Torre said before the contest that the game "has transformed into something very important to the Mexican people that live in the United States."

"It is a clasico," de la Torre told the confederation, before Saturday's match. "That makes for a heated atmosphere. But the final is still a soccer game featuring two strong, well-coached teams that have worked hard to reach a final we will enjoy."

For the United States, it marks its fourth consecutive appearance in the final -- a confederation record, according to the U.S. Soccer Federation. The Gold Cup is being held in Southern California for the first time in nine years, the federation said.

Nani to stay at United

Nani is willing to stay at Manchester United to fight for his position

Manchester United winger Nani will not be forced out of the club by the arrival of £17 million Ashley Young, contrary to reports.
Nani topped the assists chart in the Premier League last season, and he was voted United's Players' Player of the Year. However, as the season neared a climax, the Portugal international increasingly found himself on the bench for big games, culminating in the Champions League final loss to Barcelona.

With Antonio Valencia producing the best form of his career upon return from serious injury, there is a feeling of three not fitting into two following the signing of Young from Aston Villa.

Park Ji-sung, the man who took Nani's place against Barcelona at Wembley, also declared on Friday that he has no intention of leaving Old Trafford, so Sir Alex Ferguson finds himself with a plethora of options for his wide positions.

Nani has been linked in the media with a move away from United, with Real Madrid a mooted destination. The player fanned flames over a possible move when stating recently: "I am fine at Manchester United, but it is good to hear there are other clubs interested. Would I like to work under [Jose] Mourinho? Yes, but at this moment I am fine at Manchester United."

However, sources close to Old Trafford are now stating that the 24-year-old will fight for his place, having just enjoyed his best season at the club, yielding 10 goals.

Ferguson is expected to seek a meeting with Nani in the near future to assure the winger of his place in the United squad, as the Red Devils attempt to win a 20th Premier League crown.

Money will need to be generated from somewhere though, with United expected to take their spending past £50 million with the purchase of David De Gea, but it is believed Wes Brown and Darron Gibson are closest to the exit door.

Liverpool close to securing Adam deal

Charlie Adam

Liverpool are expecting to clinch a deal for Charlie Adam this weekend, unless Aston Villa delay proceedings by turning negotiations into a bidding war.
Damien Comolli, the Reds' director of football, will press ahead over the next 48 hours in an attempt to add Adam to the recent capture of Jordan Henderson. A meeting with Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston is booked, and Liverpool hope to conclude an £8 million transfer.

Oyston revealed 11 days ago that he had held initial talks with the Anfield club, saying in The Gazette: "We've had a few very preliminary discussions and enquiries but nothing of any substance."

Liverpool first lodged an £8 million bid in January, only to find the Tangerines holding out for £12 million. Oyston had hoped Adam would keep his club in the Premier League, but now he is left on weaker ground to barter, with the Scotland international desperate to stay in England's top flight.

The most likely scenario to scupper Liverpool's plans would be a last-ditch hijack attempt from Aston Villa, whose new boss Alex McLeish used to work with Adam at Rangers. Blackpool would hope a rival bid would drive up Liverpool's offer, which is expected to start as low as £6.5 million.

Adam is one of a handful of players wanted by Kenny Dalglish, who also has Comolli negotiating for Ipswich's Connor Wickham, Arsenal's Gael Clichy, and Aston Villa's Stewart Downing. The Reds are already believed to have had offers of £5 million and £12 million rejected for Clichy and Downing respectively.

Adam's arrival would create an overstaffing of midfielders at Anfield, where Alberto Aquilani has returned after Juventus cooled interest in a £14 million deal. Portugal international Raul Meireles has also been linked to the Turin club, but no formal movements have materialised.

Gasperini to replace Leonardo as Inter Milan coach

Gian Piero Gasperini's only top-flight coaching experience in Italy has been with Genoa.
Gian Piero Gasperini's only top-flight coaching experience in Italy has been with Genoa.

Uncertainty over Inter Milan's coaching position ended on Friday as chairman Massimo Moratti announced that former Genoa boss Gian Piero Gasperini will be replacing Leonardo.

The 53-year-old, who guided Genoa into Serie A in 2007 before being sacked last November following a bad run of form, will sign a two-year deal at the San Siro.

He will be officially unveiled "as soon as the final bureaucratic formalities are completed" according to the Italian club's website.

Leonardo, who replaced Rafael Benitez in December 2010, is expected to take up a sporting director role with France's Paris St Germain -- a former club of his which has been recently bought by a Qatari group.
Could Villas-Boas succeed at Chelsea?

Club president Massimo Moratti expressed his "full satisfaction with the choice" and the 67-year-old wished his new employee "the success that brought Inter the title of world champions."

While Benitez took Inter to the FIFA Club World Cup title, he was unable to successful follow on the exploits of Jose Mourinho -- who took Inter to an unprecedented treble in 2009-10, winning the European Champions League plus a domestic double.

Under Leonardo, Inter finished runners-up to city rivals AC Milan in Serie A last season and claimed a seventh Coppa Italia crown.

A World Cup winner with Brazil in 1994, the 41-year-old had been a surprise choice after both playing for and coaching Milan.

Moratti and Inter have reportedly suffered setbacks in their search for a new boss, with former Chile national team coach Marcelo Bielsa rumored to have been approached regarding the position.

Andre-Villas Boas was another coach linked with the post, but the 33-year-old has now been appointed manager of English Premier League club Chelsea.

England coach Fabio Capello, who has twice been in charge of Milan, was also linked with a move to Inter.

Young seals Manchester United switch

Ashley Young joined Aston Villa from Watford for $15 million in January 2007

Premier League champions Manchester United have confirmed the signing of England international winger Ashley Young from Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee.

Young, 25, is United's second signing of the transfer window, after defender Phil Jones joined from Blackburn Rovers, and has signed a five-year deal at Old Trafford.

"The opportunity to come and play for one of the biggest clubs in the world is one I couldn't turn down," Young told MUTV.

"It's a chance to hopefully become part of their history by helping them to win their 20th title.
"It's a prospect I always looked at from being a child -- to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world," he added.

"I've got that opportunity now so I've just got to take it with both hands."

The former Watford forward moved to Villa Park for $15 million in January 2007 and captained the Birmingham-based outfit for part of last season.

He made 157 Premier League appearances for Villa, scoring 30 goals, and has 15 caps for his country.

"Ashley has made a terrific contribution for Villa over the past four-and-a-half seasons and everyone at the club wishes him the best for the future," newly-appointed Villa manager Alex McLeish told Villa's official website.

"He has become an important player in the England team during that time and I'm sure he will be looking forward to this new challenge," added McLeish.

Young scored the equalizer for Fabio Capello's England side in their recent 2-2 draw with Switzerland at Wembley, and has started their last three matches.

United's latest recruit scored against his new employers for Villa in a 2-2 draw in November 2010.

Post-breakup Paris Hilton reconnects with old friend

Post-breakup Paris Hilton reconnects with old friend

A newly single Paris Hilton was feeling the love at a shindig for Charlotte Ronson on Tuesday, as the heiress was all hugs and smiles with former BFF/supposed frenemy Nicole Richie.

According to TMZ, the two were seen exchanging hugs and hanging out at the Hollywood event. Hilton tweeted later, “@NicoleRichie, Bill, great seeing you tonight at #Iheartronson. You looked so beautiful! Love you. Love Sill :) xoxo”

The 30-year-old heiress, who is currently starring in the Oxygen reality show “The World According to Paris,” recently broke up with her boyfriend of one year, Cy Waits, and says that she’s now taking a closer look at her life.
"Cy is a good guy," she tells E!. "We've been friends for years and always will be. I just need some time alone to focus on myself. We speak all the time. I have nothing but great things to say about him."

A source adds that the reality TV star does feel bad “for ending the relationship, but she felt that she needs time to reevaluate her life."

Katy Perry on bad reviews: Numbers don't lie

Katy Perry on bad reviews: Numbers don't lie

Pop stars don’t often get into politics, but Katy Perry is another exception.

The singer talked about the economy and health care with Rolling Stone in an issue hitting newsstands Friday, adding that she’s starting to ask more questions about what's what in politics.

“I'm only slowly but surely getting the wool taken off my eyes,” she tells RS. "I think we are largely in desperate need of revolutionary change in the way our mindset is. Our priority is fame, and people's wellness is way low.”

Of course, she says that “knowing full well that I'm a part of the problem. I'm playing the game, though I am trying to reroute.Anyway, not to get all politically divulging and introspective, but the fact that America doesn't have free health care drives me f-–ing absolutely crazy, and is so wrong."

But it doesn't sound like she's going to start singing about subjects deeper than “daisy dukes” with “bikinis on top," as Perry admits she doesn’t expect a hit pop song to be a political game-changer.

"I'm not a dummy,” she says. "I know 'California Gurls' isn't going to save the world. But I got a lot of heart from my upbringing and I put a lot of heart in my songs."

And if a critical review or two comes in, Mrs. Russell Brand says it doesn’t bother her. "Whenever people ask me about having bad reviews, I'm like, 'Have you seen the run I’ve had? Have you see the numbers?'" she says. "Numbers do not lie!"

'Mad Men' creator: January wanted a baby 'badly'

'Mad Men' creator: January wanted a baby 'badly'

When January Jones announced in April that she was expecting her first child, there was at least one person who wasn’t that surprised: “Mad Men” executive producer Matt Weiner.

The showrunner, who Jones has said created the part of Betty Draper especially for her, told E! that the 33-year-old actress has always wanted to be a mom.

"She has wanted this very badly," Weiner said. "She's got a big heart and she's been talking about having children since I met her, which is not always common with actresses.”

Weiner has every confidence that the soon-to-be parent is “going to be amazing” at raising a little one. "She is going to be someone is going to be so devoted."

Her co-star Jon Hamm agrees, as he told CNN when the news arrived in the spring that he thinks Jones will be just fine.

“She got a lot of practice playing a terrible mother on the show so I think she's probably learned what not to do,” he joked.

Jamaica keeps Grenada winless

CARSON, Calif. -- Luton Shelton, Ryan Johnson, Demar Phillips and Keammar Daley scored to give Jamaica a 4-0 victory over Grenada on Monday night in a Group B Gold Cup match.

The margin of victory was Jamaica's largest in any Gold Cup game.

"I think we have a very good team and this is just the beginning for us," said Johnson, who plays for the San Jose Earthquakes. "I want Jamaica to go as far as possible in this tournament."

Jamaican goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts did not need to make a save for the shutout. Ricketts was Major League Soccer's goalkeeper of the year last season with the Los Angeles Galaxy.

"We did the most important thing," Johnson said, "and that was to keep a clean sheet."

Grenada coach Mike Adams said his team allowed Jamaica to take control.

"We had a game plan and from the (beginning) we didn't stick to it," Adams said. "We worked on pressuring the ball, denying the opposition time on the ball and from the (beginning) we weren't at the races.

"We just surrendered space and time to the opposition. At the international level, we can't afford to do that."

Shelton scored in the 21st minute on a 6-yard shot off Rodolph Austin's pass from the left side. Austin began the play with a corner kick to Shelton, who returned the ball to Austin.

Johnson scored in the 39th minute. Shelton began a counterattack with a through ball to Dane Richards, whose cross from the right side of the penalty area found Johnson for a 6-yard shot.

Phillips made it 3-0 in the 79th minute with an 8-yard shot. Daley converted a 23-yard line drive in the 84th minute.

Grenada is 0-4 in Gold Cup games since 2009 and has not scored.

Grenada's Craig Roscastle suffered a knee injury after colliding with Jamaica's Jason Morrison in the 42nd minute, and left the game at halftime.

Honduras played Guatemala in the second game of the doubleheader.

Henry Kissinger mulling FIFA offer

LONDON -- Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger says he has not yet made a firm commitment to become an adviser to soccer's world governing body.

Newly re-elected FIFA president Sepp Blatter said Wednesday that Kissinger, who was secretary of state from 1973 to 1977, had agreed to join a "committee of wise persons" to help investigate problems within the organization.

"If it can help the sport, I would be willing to participate," Kissinger told the BBC on Sunday. "But I have to know who the other participants are and what the terms of reference are before I make a final commitment.

"(Blatter) has invited me, but he has not been specific except to say he wants to create a group of wise men to deal with some of the issues that have arisen."

The committee would have the power to investigate and suggest solutions to problems as FIFA recovers from a corruption scandal, which saw Asian Football Confederation president Mohamed bin Hammam and FIFA vice president Jack Warner suspended following allegations of bribery.

Kissinger, who described himself as an "avid football fan," worked on the failed U.S. bid to host the 2022 World Cup and was on a reform panel set up by the IOC following the scandal over Salt Lake City's winning bid to host the Winter Olympics in 2002.

"My general view is that FIFA should be conducted as transparently and as democratically as is necessary to win public support," Kissinger said.

Blatter was elected unopposed for a fourth term as president on June 1, despite attempts by England's Football Association to postpone the vote for several months to allow for the corruption scandals to be cleared up.

Of the 208 FIFA delegates, 172 rejected England's call.

FIFA seeks Placido Domingo's advice

Placido Domingo

LONDON -- Opera great Placido Domingo is considering an invitation from FIFA President Sepp Blatter to help clean up world football's governing body.

Blatter on Monday said he wanted the 70-year-old Spanish-born tenor to sit on a "council of wisdom" alongside former U.S. secretary of state Henry Kissinger and former Netherlands player Johan Cruyff.

But Domingo is not committing to the role until he receives more information from Blatter about the committee being formed in the wake of the worst corruption scandal in FIFA's 107-year history.
"Since 1970 -- with the exception of 1978 -- I have been at every World Cup final in every host country," Domingo said in comments provided to The Associated Press. "In my amateur way, I am an expert in football. I am happy to have been asked to be involved with this great sport and have requested more details to see if I can be of help."

Blatter used a CNN interview to announce his interest in Domingo advising FIFA on its problems.

"Placido Domingo will be part (of the committee)," Blatter said. "He is happy, he is proud that he is part (of it)."

Domingo's most visible involvement in football has been appearing at concerts before four consecutive World Cups from 1990 with Jose Carreras and Luciano Pavarotti, who were collectively known as The Three Tenors.

Blatter on Monday also defended the decision to approach the 88-year-old Kissinger to sit on the new committee.

"People say he is an old man, but he is a wise man," Blatter said.

Kissinger has yet to make a firm commitment to become an adviser and, like Domingo, is awaiting further details.

"These gentlemen are more or less advisers, they are not the experts but advisers," Blatter said during a visit to Azerbaijan. "What they should be also is the kind of council of wisdom, which my executive committee would not like because they think they are the council of wisdom!"

The committee will have the power to investigate and suggest solutions to problems as FIFA recovers from a bribery scandal, which saw executive committee members Mohamed bin Hammam and Jack Warner suspended from all football activities during the investigation.

The committee is part of plans by Blatter to bring a "little bit more credibility" back to FIFA after he was re-elected last week to serve a fourth term as president.

He defended the decision not have an independent chairman for the new solutions committee, saying he did not want to "open our border and say everyone can come in."

"The football family has asked me to solve the solution inside the FIFA and not outside the FIFA," Blatter said. "We are a very organized institution with 208 associations, six continents. I've put already zero tolerance in the agenda."

Chelsea Handler to Jennifer Aniston: Stay away from Kardashians

Chelsea Handler to Jennifer Aniston: Stay away from Kardashians

Chelsea Handler has never been shy about cutting celebrities down a few notches, but the comedian insists she reserves her tongue-lashings for those who truly deserve it.

"I only have talked about people that I think are acting irresponsibly or are making fools of themselves," she tells the Hollywood Reporter. "There's no reason to talk about Reese Witherspoon. I've never talked about those people and anyone I've become friends with. I'm not going to be friends with them if they're idiots in the first place."

This might explain why Handler recently warned her good friend Jennifer Aniston not to associate with fellow E! network stars the Kardashians.

"Jennifer said she saw the Kardashians at dinner last night. She was like, 'They're nice,'" recalls Handler. "And I said: 'Don't get photographed with the Kardashians!' People will blame me for it!"

Angelina Jolie: Our education system needs improvement

Angelina Jolie: Our education system needs improvement

She may be a superstar, but just like any mother, Angelina Jolie is concerned about the state of schools today.

"I wish there was a book every parent could read that tells you how to navigate through the school system, and how to tailor the education system for your children and their interests," the mom of six tells the Independent. "I'm personally getting a lot more involved with their different tutors and teachers."

Jolie's children are enrolled in the Lycée programme French schooling system in several different countries, including New York, Prague and Venice.

"But we have different teachers from different cultures in our house, who travel with us. Not only nannies but teachers," she says. "To us it's about building a team around us where we can all be enhanced culturally and they can help with following a curriculum legally."

The "Kung Fu Panda 2" star adds that she believes there's a lot to be learned outside the classroom.

"I do think we live in a different age and the education system hasn't caught up with our children and our way of life," she says. "But we travel and I'm the first person to say, 'Get the schoolwork done as quickly as possible because let's go out and explore.' I'd rather them go to a museum and learn to play guitar and read and pick a book they love.

"I feel that there's got to be a new way to tailor things more directly to our children," she explains. "Considering the amount of information we have today, the internet and online books... We as parents need to think about how we can shake it up and make it better."

Idols aim to prove that they’ve got talent through “Immortal Song 2″

There’s a popular description of idols these days, in which they’re being called ‘3-second singers’. It came about once idol groups began to have members that numbered into the double digits, resulting in some members having only three seconds of singing time. Others have started to express harsher criticisms, such as “What kind of singer are you, when you can’t even sing?

A rebuttal has been created in the form of a TV program. Members from several idol groups have come together for a singing competition called “Immortal Song 2“, which has also been dubbed as the idol version of “I Am A Singer“.

“Immortal Song 2″ had its first recording on May 23rd with 2AM’s Changmin, Super Junior’s Yesung, SISTAR’s Hyorin, SHINee’s Jonghyun, B2ST’s Yoseob, and IU. In anticipation of its premiere on June 4th, the contestants sat down for a brief interview about the show.

<Don’t compare it with “I Am A Singer”>

Changmin said, “Rather than being caught up in our performance rankings, we plan to simply show that we are hardworking. Since we each have variety show experience, we will use this strength to create a fun atmosphere.

The mission on their first day was to remake a hit song from Shim Boo Song, who actually sang for the opening of the show and stayed behind to watch her juniors perform. Super Junior’s Yesung expressed his nervousness by saying, “It makes me nervous to think about performing a solo in front of Shim Soo Bong. I have to guard my team’s honor – whew, it’s burdensome.” IU also admitted that she felt the pressure: “My heart is fluttering because it’s a song from a singer that my grandma and mother like… Everyone is complimenting me, but I’m worried that I won’t meet their expectations.

It could be said that IU’s feelings reflect those of her castmates, as their vocal abilities were oftentimes discounted or dismissed because of their status as ‘idol stars’. Jonghyun showed his desire to break out of the stereotype by confessing, “Taking this as an opportunity to show a completely different side to myself, I prepared a lot amidst my overseas activities.”

<No eliminations, just pick 1st place>

While “Immortal Song 2″ will have each contestant sing their version of songs just like on “I Am A Singer”, there will be no eliminations. The six castmates will be judged by a 200-member audience and the first place singer will be named from those votes. Each singer will also received pointers and tips from the original artists of the songs they cover.

For the show’s first recording, the audience was filled with 30+ year olds because they’re the generation that can most accurately judge the performances. 45-year-old Kwak Tae Ho said, “Each of Shim Soo Bong’s songs have a story. The key is in how you stress the emotions. More than vocal ability, it’s the expression that counts.” 45-year-old Choi Eun Hi mused, “Since songs go beyond time, I hope that these remakes will make Shim Soo Bong fans out of the younger generations.

Idol fans have also expressed their anticipation. IU fan Kim Young Rae said, “I look forward to seeing how IU will remake her senior’s song. I hope she does well so she can have more elderly folks like her.

While the primary focus of the shows is on music, the idols will bring their various skills to the stage, such as rapping and dancing. It’s said that for this particular challenge, their free-wheeling spirit brought a 30-year-old song into the 21st century. Shim Soo Bong was unable to take her eyes off the stage as she exclaimed, “I didn’t know that [these songs] could have such a different color! I feel like I received the best gift in my life as a singer.

<Old songs that will revive K-pop>

Although it has yet to air, “Immortal Song 2″ is already forcing the other music-based reality programs to step up their game. In fact, “Immortal Song 2″ is unique in that it focuses on idol contestants only. Currently, Korea has national talent shows like “Superstar K” and “Birth of a New Star“, which creates new artists; on the other hand, there’s “I Am a Singer”, which allows for more veteran singers to make a comeback.

“Immortal Song 2″, therefore, will find itself plumb in-between those two extremes. As such, it’s speculated that the response for the show will be the hottest amongst its peers. There’s already a palpable tension between fan clubs, and producers have expressed their concerns about fan clubs sneaking into the audience and skewing the votes.

Sharing his honest thoughts about idol singers, producer Go Min Gyu said, “When it come to musicality and completeness, these idols in their teens and 20’s can’t do as well as those on ‘I Am a Singer’“. Consequently, he asked that viewers look at the show as a period of vocal growth for the contestants.

He emphasized that they are K-pop stars who are able bring together generations of music-lovers, and mused that, “We are also looking at the possibility that the idol remakes may spur a new Hallyu movement.
